3DAV Rover FAQs

What is the 3DAV Rover?

The 3DAV Rover is a portable 3D theater system, complete with a projector, computer, sound system, 3D glasses, and software. The Rover projects interactive 3D videos into your classroom.

How does your 3D differ from the 3D I’ve seen at the movies?

Our 3D is considered Holoprojected 3D, meaning the images are projected into the room with you and are stabilized to allow you to interact with them. Traditional 3D, as you’ve seen at the movies, is 3D on a 2D plane, meaning objects on a screen jump out at you.

Do I have to wear 3D glasses?

Yes, special glasses that are compatible with the Vizitech 3D educational system are included when you purchase the Rover.

Will the 3D make me dizzy or give me a headache?

No. 3D is made up of two images that switch at high speeds, giving the illusion that the object you’re looking at is multi-dimensional. The American Ophthalmological Association found that side effects occur when the switching speed is below 60 times per second. Our 3D glasses switch at a rate of 120 times per second, resulting in no headaches or eyestrain.

Does 3D technology improve test scores or retention?

Yes, studies have shown that test scores increase by 33% and retention increases by up to 100%. Our products and methods have been tested by multiple agencies that have given us documentation attesting to higher retention rates, higher test scores, deeper understanding, and more active engagement by participants.

Can you create custom 3D videos?

Yes, we have a development and production team with experience in all aspects of creating custom 3D programs.

Are the glasses included? How much are additional glasses?

Yes, when you purchase a Rover from Vizitech you receive 25 pairs of glasses. Additional glasses can be purchased. Please contact us for a price quote.

Can I move the Rover from room to room?

Yes, it is fully portable. The Rover has heavy-duty wheels, and the 3D system is housed in a scratch-resistant steel cabinet with handles for easy transportation.

Is the 3DAV Rover system hard to use?

No, all you have to do is turn the Rover on and activate the required hardware and software. Vizitech provides a training and professional development course to show teachers how to use the Rover and incorporate 3D video into their lesson plans.

What if the 3DAV Rover breaks or stops working?

We have a full-time maintenance team who is available by phone or remote link to diagnose and assist with problems. If we need to send someone to you to fix something, we are more than happy to.

Do you offer training?

Yes, when you purchase a Rover from Vizitech, our dedicated training team provides an included four-hour training and professional development session.

Does the 3DAV Rover require a special screen?

No, you can use any type of screen or smooth, light-colored surface.
